Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 1-3 years of IR experience and proficiency in vascular interventional radiology procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
  • Procedures include interventional neuro, vascular, and CT/US-guided interventions
  • 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with one rotating day off per week
  • Shift hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • 1-2 call shifts per week and 1 weekend call per 6 weeks
  • The rotating day off is typically scheduled following a call shift
  • Preferred experience with Epic, Siemens single and bi-plane equipment, and McKesson PACS
  • Responsibilities include assisting physicians with interventional neuro, vascular, and CT/US-guided procedures
  • Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; RTO requests made after submission will not be approved

Requirements

  • ARRT(R) certification required
  • Current BLS required
  • RTR or RTRVI certification required
  • KY Radiation Operator's License required prior to start date - license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) required
  • Demonstrated skill in vascular interventional radiology (VIR) required
  • Proficiency in scrubbing as first assist to physician, circulating, filming, and charging exams in Epic
  • 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
