Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week acute care travel assignment covering outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled settings, with no weekend or holiday requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work setting covers outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled nursing care
• Average patient load of 8 patients per day
• Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7am–5pm (10-hour shifts)
• No weekend or holiday coverage required
• MatrixCare (Matrix) is the EMR used in this position
• 13-week assignment with 12 hours of orientation provided
• Responsibilities span evaluation and treatment across outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled nursing settings
• No PTAs or rehab aides on staff
• Department-specific orientation is provided
• Professional casual attire is the dress code
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred; new graduates willing to train will be considered
• Active PT license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Current BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
• Physical therapy degree required
• A driver's license is required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
