Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) position in Maine, requiring an active ME or compact RN license and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Details
- Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) within a hospital setting, covering cardiac progressive care, med-surg adult, cardiac telemetry, and telemetry med/surg modalities
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7a
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend availability may be required upon request by the department manager or supervisor
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held)
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and a team-oriented approach required
Additional Information
- Performs patient care functions under the supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse in accordance with Maine Board of Nursing standards
- Local candidates are accepted for this position; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
- Travelers may work a maximum of 2 consecutive 13-week assignments and must leave the facility for at least 26 weeks before returning for another temporary assignment
- Holiday coverage required for: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
