Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Margate, FL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency in circulating and monitoring in an EP/Cath Lab environment.

• Located in the Cardiac Cath Lab (EP/Cath Lab) department of an acute care hospital in Margate, FL
• Unit includes 2 Cath Labs and 1 EP Lab
• Team consists of a combination of RNs, RCIS, RT, CVT, a department assistant, a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, and a Manager
• Patient ratio is 1:1 with 3 staff per room for most procedures; VT Ablation requires 4 staff
• Equipment used includes GE and ESI systems
• Documentation systems: Meditech and MacLab
• Shift is 10-hour days, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Typical procedures include pacemakers (all types), ablations (all types), Watchman, and cryoablation

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• EKG training required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab / EP Lab RN experience
• Previous experience scrubbing all procedures performed in Electrophysiology in an acute care setting is required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Two professional references required (Florida requirement)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• RN responsibilities include circulating and monitoring in the Cath and EP Labs
• Scrubs are facility-provided through Scrub Ex
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
• This is a 13-week travel contract
