Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in Santa Rosa, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and active CA RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit within a 277-bed acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00; 4x12 schedule may be available upon request
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Floating required between like units and across all facilities within the state
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• 13-week contract
• Scrubs are provided for L&D staff
• Orientation is 36 hours
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licensure not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery and postpartum experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
