Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a day shift contract at a short-term acute care hospital in Scottsdale, AZ, requiring at least 1 year of experience and proficiency in a broad range of cardiac and vascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care hospital with 427 staffed beds
• Cardiac Cath Lab / Special Procedures setting
• Variable daily caseload per technologist
• Procedures include cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, angiograms, stents, ablations, venous access, fluoroscopy studies, contrast administration, and power injector use
• Charting performed in Epic
• 3x12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 1–2 weekends required per 6-week schedule
• Overnight and weekend on-call required
• Floating within clinical scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities if needed
• Local candidates are accepted
• Perform special procedures including cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular interventions, ablations, and fluoroscopy-guided studies
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Block scheduling may be accommodated depending on requested days
• RTO requests are subject to approval depending on dates

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab / Special Procedures experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certification required
• Proficiency with PACs, contrast, fluoroscopy studies, stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, venous access, and power injectors
• State license required if applicable — pending license accepted, but must be active prior to start
