Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring Epic experience and a WV or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
• 16-bed unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• 12-hour night shifts, 7pm–7am, 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Epic EMR is used in this unit; experience is required
• Floating to the telemetry unit may be required but is not routine
• No on-call responsibilities
• Clinical responsibilities include continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), wound management, patient assessments, catheter care, and orthopedic patient care
• EKG testing (pass/fail) is required for this unit prior to placement
• Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
• Travelers who have worked within the WVU system for a cumulative total of one year must take a 2-year break before returning
• Candidates may only be submitted to one WVU facility at a time

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidate's driver's license address must reflect a residence more than 50 miles from the facility
• An unexpired copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
