Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool IMC/Med-Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of IMC experience and recent Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Float pool position covering Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC units in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes those with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
• Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6
• Epic EMR used; recent experience required
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Floating between Med/Surg and IMC units is required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates who live within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a reduced local pay rate

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2 years of IMC unit experience in a hospital setting
• Recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a hospital setting required
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Flu shot required; 2-step PPD required (no exceptions)
