Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Illinois, requiring 4-5 years of CVICU-specific experience and the ability to care for both cardiovascular and interventional neurocritical care patients.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in a hospital CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU) setting
• Patient population includes both cardiovascular critical care and interventional neurocritical care patients
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating may be required to the MICU if the CVICU is sufficiently staffed, and in some cases to sister hospital locations (Skokie, Evanston, or Highland Park)
• No on-call requirements
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Scrub color required: Royal Blue
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• A complete 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
• All time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration

Requirements

• Active Illinois (IL) RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 4–5 years of CVICU-specific experience required
• Experience supporting interventional neurocritical care patients required
