Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.

Details

• 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) providing care to a mixed Med/Surg patient population
• Travel nurses function in a standard Med/Surg nursing care role — not in an educator or preceptor capacity
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 5–6:1
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in a large, high-volume, or Level 1 trauma hospital required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-acuity facilities will not be considered
• Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced, high-acuity patient situations

• No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment
