Description

American Traveler is seeking a Manager of Breast Imaging with 5+ years of leadership experience in mammography and related imaging modalities for a 13-week travel contract in Plano, TX.

Details

• Breast Imaging department within an acute care hospital setting
• Modalities include mammography, biopsies, ultrasound, and bone density
• 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• On-call may be required

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of leadership/management experience in imaging
• Active ARRT-M or ARRT-R certification required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• MRT required
• Active TX license required, if applicable
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical documentation, scheduling, and payroll systems
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Flu shot required; no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Responsible for assisting the Director in managing, planning, organizing, and improving work processes within Breast Imaging services
• Oversees staffing patterns, scheduling, PTO approvals, and leave of absence requests
• Conducts interviews, hiring, performance evaluations, staff development, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR
• Ensures department compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO), Texas Department of Health (TDH), and other accrediting body standards
• Leads multidisciplinary staff meetings and collaborates with physicians and other medical departments
• Manages operational budgets and implements corrective action plans for variances
• Coordinates patient safety, quality improvement, employee engagement, and performance improvement initiatives
• Acts as Director when required
• Must maintain current knowledge of imaging trends, techniques, protocols, and equipment across patient populations including newborn through geriatric
• Black scrubs required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
