Description
American Traveler is seeking a Manager of Breast Imaging with 5+ years of leadership experience in mammography and related imaging modalities for a 13-week travel contract in Plano, TX.
Details
- Breast Imaging department within an acute care hospital setting
- Modalities include mammography, biopsies, ultrasound, and bone density
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- On-call may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership/management experience in imaging
- Active ARRT-M or ARRT-R certification required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- MRT required
- Active TX license required, if applicable
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical documentation, scheduling, and payroll systems
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
- Flu shot required; no exemptions accepted
Additional Information
- Responsible for assisting the Director in managing, planning, organizing, and improving work processes within Breast Imaging services
- Oversees staffing patterns, scheduling, PTO approvals, and leave of absence requests
- Conducts interviews, hiring, performance evaluations, staff development, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR
- Ensures department compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO), Texas Department of Health (TDH), and other accrediting body standards
- Leads multidisciplinary staff meetings and collaborates with physicians and other medical departments
- Manages operational budgets and implements corrective action plans for variances
- Coordinates patient safety, quality improvement, employee engagement, and performance improvement initiatives
- Acts as Director when required
- Must maintain current knowledge of imaging trends, techniques, protocols, and equipment across patient populations including newborn through geriatric
- Black scrubs required
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
