Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) / Med-Surg position requiring vent/trach experience and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting, Med-Surg unit
• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• 12-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Responsible for shift accountability, utilizing the Nursing Process to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act
• Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical leadership in care planning, prioritization, and delegation to assigned staff
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• Previous work at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed during the consideration process

Requirements

• Active NC or multi-state compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (RQI/RCIS certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or Med-Surg RN experience required
• Vent/trach experience required; central line knowledge required
• Wound care experience preferred
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
