Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Cardiac Telemetry Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 18 months of true telemetry experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital telemetry unit within a cardiac float pool setting
• Cardiac telemetry patient population including pre- and post-cardiac cath patients and sheath management
• Involves titrating drips and monitoring lethal cardiac rhythms
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as part of the float pool assignment
• Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
• Must be willing and able to care for COVID-positive patients
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• No block scheduling will be added to the contract
• Requested time off submitted after the hiring process will not be approved
• Completion of 8 cardiac CEUs and 8 stroke CEUs required for this telemetry placement
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 18 months of true telemetry (cardiac) nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), CPI, and NIHSS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Cerner EMR experience required, no exceptions
• Must pass an EKG exam on orientation day with a score of 80% or higher (includes lethal rhythm identification)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
