Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in Fetal Monitoring for a Maternal Fetal Medicine unit, requiring ARDMS (OB/GYN) certification and a minimum of 3 years of ultrasound experience.
Responsibilities
- Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) unit with 7 ultrasound rooms and 6 sonographers on shift at a time
- High-risk pregnant patient population, ages 16–50, including twins and triplets
- Procedures include detailed anatomy scans, nuchal translucency scans, amniocentesis, CVS, and KCL guidance
- Equipment includes GE Ultrasound machine, Trophon HLD unit, and GE Viewpoint application
- 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with a rotation of 3 or 4 shifts per week
- May float to the CMFM-Gryzmish 7 unit
- Any color scrubs are acceptable
- Specializes in high-risk MFM sonography including detailed anatomy scans, nuchal translucency scans, and multi-gestational pregnancies
- Orientation is 2–3 days
- Previous employees of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have a 6+ month break before being considered for this position
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Parking in the area may cost up to $43/day; additional transportation options may be available upon inquiry
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound experience required
- BLS (AHA) and ARDMS certification in OB/GYN required
- Fetal echo certification preferred
- Experience with twins and triplets required
- MA license required if applicable
- COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions permitted)
