Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in Mount Clemens, MI, requiring a minimum of 3 years of telemetry experience and at least one prior completed travel assignment.

Details

• Hospital telemetry unit setting with float coverage to CSU, 3 South, 4 South (Tele), 3 West, 4 West, and IPR (Med Surg)
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week (no four-shift weeks)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage is required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required (LARA and Nursys verification required; license discrepancies should be accompanied by a written explanation for manager review)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 3 years of telemetry experience required
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
• Paragon EMR experience preferred
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing patient physical, psychosocial, and educational needs; planning and implementing individualized care; and evaluating patient responses to nursing interventions
• A strict 3-strike attendance policy is in place — three instances of absence or tardiness exceeding 20 minutes will result in immediate termination; exceptions may be made for communicable illness or hospitalization with supporting documentation
• Current full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract hire until at least six months after separation
• RTO requests are limited to no more than 5 days for the contract duration
