Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience and proficiency with Siemens, Carestream, GE OEC, and Medtronic O-Arm equipment.

Responsibilities

• Position is based at a hospital/medical center setting with potential to float across multiple campuses
• Average caseload of approximately 10 scans per day
• Requires experience working with all age groups; specific patient population is shift-dependent
• Surgery room and surgery fluoroscopy procedures are part of the role
• Epic EMR used; experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have worked at the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
• Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday holiday windows
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a reduction in the travel pay rate

Requirements

• Minimum of 24 months of X-Ray experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Active ARRT certification and BLS required
• Active Iowa state license required; candidates without an active Iowa license may still be considered due to Iowa Radiology licensure processing times — Iowa license required if applicable
• Experience with Siemens fixed equipment required
• Experience with Carestream portable equipment required
• Experience with GE OEC C-arms required
• Experience with Medtronic O-Arm required
• Surgery room and surgery fluoroscopy experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience working with all age groups required
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
