Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU (Days) position at an academic medical center in Albany, NY, requiring 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU) in a hospital setting
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Patient population includes trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR — experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU staff experience with trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Epic EMR experience required
• AHA or RQI certifications required
• US Social Security Number required — Canadian SIN not accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations will not be accommodated

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• A competency test must be completed within 24 hours of being contacted — candidates should ensure their email address is current
• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• No blocked scheduling
• More than 3 call-outs during the 13-week contract may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
