Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) position in California, requiring a current CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• 30-bed Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) serving medium to high acuity patients in a hospital setting
• Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients with cardiac diagnoses, including pre/post CABG, carotid endarterectomy, acute MI, post-pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, CHF, and pneumonia
• Patient-to-nurse ratio not to exceed 1:4
• Epic EMR experience required
• 12-hour day shifts with a 0700 start time
• Floating to other units, including Med/Surg, required as needed
• Provide nursing care to stable patients with a high potential to become unstable, complex comorbidities, and needs exceeding general patient care units
• Cardiovascular sub-specialties covered include CPCU, Cardiovascular ICU, CCU, CVICU, and Cardiac Telemetry

Requirements

• Active CA RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be a W-2 employee of their agency
