Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a per diem night shift position in a California hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30
• Per diem status, up to 24 hours per week
• Floating required within scope of practice, including the ED (for ICU holds), Telemetry, and Med/Surg

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• NIHSS certification required
• PALS required within 30 days of hire for units admitting pediatric patients
• RN-C certification preferred within 2 years of hire
• BSN preferred
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for the full nursing process — assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation — for assigned ICU patients
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptomatology
• Directs and guides patient and family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel
• DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention) training required — can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the free CDC resource
