Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with 2+ years of experience for a 26-week acute care hospital assignment using Cerner EMR.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital radiology department with 2 dedicated X-Ray rooms (1 inpatient, 1 outpatient) and 2 portable units, plus 2 additional outpatient rooms
• Serves both inpatient and outpatient populations across all patient ages
• Department performs 200+ scans and studies per day across all patients
• Cerner EMR is used for charting
• Rotating 8-hour shifts covering days, evenings, midnights, weekends, and holidays
• Call response time of 30 minutes required
• No IV starts required
• Radiologist coverage is provided on-site Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM via a third-party radiology group
• A supervisor is present for each area; no lead techs on the unit
• Orientation is customized based on the individual traveler's background
• Light grey scrubs required
• Radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency; the facility will not supply one
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from this WVU facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being eligible to return
• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year before a 2-year break is required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Tech (X-Ray) experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT certification required where applicable
• State license required if applicable
• Drivers license required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• 2 references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference and 1 peer or additional supervisor reference
