Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and a GA or compact RN license, working night shifts on a 12-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• 12-week contract
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two (major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted night shift is firm
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to begin on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or relevant experience required
• Current certifications must be provided for consideration
