Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Emergency Department position at a Critical Access Hospital in Chewelah, WA, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of ER experience.

Responsibilities

• Critical Access Hospital setting with 23 total staff beds
• Emergency Department (ER) unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• No floating within the unit, though travelers may be expected to float between facilities within Washington State
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• 13-week contract
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• No parking fee at this facility
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive RTO requests may impact candidacy
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront — requests made after submission or offer may be denied

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ER/Emergency Department RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, TNCC, and NRP certifications preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
