Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care, Level I trauma, Magnet hospital, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and active ARRT and IL licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting — 562-bed Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated facility
• X-Ray department covering multiple work settings including adult acute care, adult outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, and OR
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• Works every third weekend, plus on-call and holiday coverage as required
• On-call required as needed
• No floating outside of scope
• Charting via Cerner (experience preferred)
• Local candidates accepted — no radius restriction
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO of no more than 5 days is preferred for this assignment; all time-off requests should be submitted upfront
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
• Scrubs may be any solid color
• Free parking is available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of X-Ray technologist experience required
• Active ARRT certification required
• Active BLS required
• Active IL state license required — pending licensure will not be considered; license required if applicable
• Experience across a broad range of X-Ray skill areas required, including: abdomen/GI (decubitus, supine/KUB, upright), chest and thorax (AP, lateral decubitus, routine, upper airway/soft tissue neck), head (facial bones, orbits, paranasal sinuses, skull, TMJ), lower extremity (ankle, femur, foot, knee, tibia-fibula), spine and pelvis (cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine, hip, pelvis, sacrum/coccyx), upper extremity (clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, scapula, shoulder, trauma shoulder/humerus, wrist), and mobile/surgical (C-arm procedure, portable abdomen, portable chest)
• Experience with O-ARM equipment required
• OR experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Level I trauma experience preferred
• Must be physically present in Illinois at least 3 business days prior to the compliance hard deadline to complete fingerprinting requirements
