Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular/Open Heart OR position requiring a BSN, Epic EMR experience, and a minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
• 20-week contract
• Open Heart/Cardiovascular OR unit setting

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• BSN required
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• English proficiency (speak, read, write)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Develops and manages individualized patient care plans using a collaborative, evidence-based approach with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Performs ongoing assessment and documentation of patient status, progress toward goals, and plan of care modifications throughout each shift
• Demonstrates technical proficiency with clinical equipment and performs bedside lab testing per provider orders
• Coordinates patient care across the interdisciplinary team from admission through discharge
• Provides patient and family education tailored to age, culture, developmental stage, and readiness to learn
• Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for one year or more are required to take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
• RTO is not to exceed 7 days per contract period
