Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular/Open Heart OR position requiring a BSN, Epic EMR experience, and a minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
- 20-week contract
- Open Heart/Cardiovascular OR unit setting
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- BSN required
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- English proficiency (speak, read, write)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Develops and manages individualized patient care plans using a collaborative, evidence-based approach with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Performs ongoing assessment and documentation of patient status, progress toward goals, and plan of care modifications throughout each shift
- Demonstrates technical proficiency with clinical equipment and performs bedside lab testing per provider orders
- Coordinates patient care across the interdisciplinary team from admission through discharge
- Provides patient and family education tailored to age, culture, developmental stage, and readiness to learn
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for one year or more are required to take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
- RTO is not to exceed 7 days per contract period
