Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma Center
• Medical/Surgical unit with a team nursing model; patient ratios are approximately 1:7 with support from PCCs and other RNs
• Night shift, 7p–7a (3x12 or 4x12 hours available — indicate shift preference when applying)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur on a rare basis
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license — no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent experience
• ADN or higher required for this position
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are strictly not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial application, as RTO cannot be approved after an offer has been made
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Vaccination status must be provided with your application
• Any certifications expiring during the assignment should include a documented renewal plan
