Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience, BLS certification, and an active NC or Compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Operating Room (OR) setting
- Surgical specialties include Neurology, Oral, ENT, Orthopedics, General, Bariatrics, Urology, GYN, Vascular, Robotics, Plastics, Dental, and Podiatry
- Equipment used includes Intuitive DaVinci XI, Neptune, Electrosurgical Unit, Smoke-Free Cautery Devices, Stryker Video Tower, Tourniquet, Cori Orthopedic Robot, Olympus Endoscopy Tower, and Globus
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
- Rotating days off (no set or consecutive days off)
- On-call required approximately 2–3 days per month
- Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted, though at a reduced pay rate
- Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
- Orientations are held bi-weekly
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification in hand
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience strongly preferred
- Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration
