Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience, including Neurovascular IR, for a 13-week contract at a short-term acute care hospital.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 449 staffed beds, working in the Interventional Radiology unit
• Daily caseload of 10–15 cases per tech
• Vascular IR procedures include endografts, Neurovascular IR, trauma IR, and body IR; facility is a stroke thrombectomy center
• Must be proficient with GE and Siemens fluoroscopy rooms
• Charting via Cerner
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On-call one day per week, with weekend call every third or fourth weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• Weekend and holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• No floating requirement

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of IR Tech experience required, including Neurovascular IR
• Ability to scrub cases and proficiency with vascular wires required
• Familiarity with GE and Siemens fluoroscopy rooms required
• Current BLS required; state license required if applicable
• Pending state license accepted, but must be active by start date
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Perform a high volume of vascular IR, Neurovascular, body IR, endograft, and stroke thrombectomy cases
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of initial consideration
