Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a combined ED/Med-Surg position at a community hospital, requiring dual-unit competency and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Combined ED and Med-Surg unit in a community hospital setting
• Nurses are expected to manage both ER and floor patient assignments within the same shift
• Night shift position: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Contract length is flexible, ranging from 8 to 13 weeks
• Blocked scheduling (grouped shifts) will be accommodated when possible
• Nurses must be clinically prepared to transition between ER and floor patient care responsibilities
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas (KS) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• PALS preferred but not required
• Experience in both Emergency Department and Med-Surg settings is required
• Minimum one year of RN experience required
• Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
