Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 13-week rotating shift contract in Vail, CO, requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and at least 1 year of MRI experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based MRI department performing diagnostic MRI and radiographic examinations
• All-age patient population including neonatal/infant through geriatric
• Rotating shifts on a 3x12 schedule
• Working knowledge of HIS and PACS computer systems used for patient documentation
• Perform MRI and radiographic examinations per facility protocols, review images for technical accuracy, and route completed studies to the radiologist
• Verify patient identity, confirm exam orders against clinical diagnosis, and ensure demographic accuracy prior to each procedure
• Communicate relevant findings and patient care information to appropriate clinical team members
• Maintain department standards including quality assurance, infection control, radiation protection, and universal precautions
• Monitor and maintain supply inventory for exam and dressing rooms

Requirements

• ARRT with MR credentials — R.T.(R)(MR)(ARRT) — or ARMRIT certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of MRI Tech experience preferred; prior healthcare experience required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Must have working knowledge of English, including reading, writing, and speaking
