Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Poplar Bluff, MO, requiring 2+ years of experience and a Missouri or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg setting with floating required between two Med/Surg units (Floor 1 and Floor 4)
• Scope of care includes ortho, surgical, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, dialysis, and hospice patients across a 36-bed unit
• Patient ratios range from 1:5–7 depending on acuity
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• EMR: Cerner
• 13-week contract
• Royal blue scrubs required
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration, with a maximum of 36 hours unless otherwise discussed
• May be required to work Easter, Mother's Day, or Memorial Day
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• Blocked scheduling requests will be considered but are not guaranteed
• No interviews — this is an auto-offer position

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses
• Current BLS certification required (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
