Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an inpatient/swing bed role working Monday–Friday day shifts in Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and swing bed setting within a hospital rehabilitation services department
• Patient population spans pediatric to geriatric
• Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and administering a broad range of physical therapy modalities including hydrotherapy, ultrasound, moist packs, and UV/infrared treatments
• Discharge planning responsibilities include coordinating with interdisciplinary team members and designing home exercise programs for patients, families, and caregivers
• Role includes contributing to staff development through in-service training and participation in patient care conferences
• Expected to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Active Colorado Physical Therapy license required
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Experience with manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, hydrotherapy, ultrasound, traction, and assistive/supportive devices
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, rehabilitation methods, and patient assessment
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with physicians
• License required if applicable
