Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in the Cleveland, OH area, requiring a minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience and an active Ohio or Compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract
• Local candidates are accepted
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score is required, with a maximum of 2 attempts
• PBDS Assessment is waived
• Candidates must complete badging and onsite fingerprinting at the facility prior to their start date, which can be done once all required modules are completed
• BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Background check hits of any kind are reviewed by the facility; open cases will not be accepted
• License hits of any kind are not accepted
• Former permanent or per diem employees must wait a minimum of 1 year from their previous end date before being considered
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement (exemption is temporary and honored until further notice)
• All RTO requests must be disclosed prior to or at the time of interview
• Pre-start modules averaging 6–15 hours are required and completed before the start date; annual modules are also required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or Compact state license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be active with nothing pending)
• Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required prior to travel
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty is required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
