Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience and Epic proficiency, working nights in a hospital staffing pool setting in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Work setting is a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Position is part of a staffing pool
• Schedule is nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• Epic EMR experience required
• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and update patient care plans
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required
• Assesses and anticipates discharge needs for patients and families
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and promotes cost-effective care
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Local candidates are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact license accepted
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required (BSN or MSN preferred)
• Epic EMR experience required
