Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown night shift position in Springdale, AR, requiring 2+ years of stepdown experience and an AR or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting, with telemetry and stepdown patient population
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to Telemetry and Med/Surg units as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AR or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the start date)
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown/PCU experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Valid US driver's license required
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsible for shift-level accountability for patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Gray scrubs required
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
