Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in California, requiring an active CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patients of all age and developmental stages across medical-surgical and telemetry care needs
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Charge nurse functions and leadership of ancillary staff are expected components of the role
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
• 2 supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
