Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract in California, requiring a CA CRT license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Mammography department in an acute care setting
• Performs routine and specialized breast imaging procedures
• 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with weekend rotation required
• Weekday shift start times vary between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM; weekend shifts begin between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM
• Performs routine and specialized breast procedures to produce diagnostic-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers
• Works independently using sound clinical judgment to execute safe and precise imaging procedures
• Responsible for thorough patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
• May be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department
• Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• 2 supervisor references from within the past two years are required for consideration

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• CA CRT license required if applicable
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
