Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in California, requiring at least 2 years of L&D and postpartum experience with active ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP certifications.

• Labor & Delivery unit within a 277-bed acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 4x12 scheduling available upon request
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating between like units and across facilities within the state is required
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery and postpartum experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided for L&D nurses
• Orientation is 36 hours
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Refusal to float between facilities may result in assignment termination
