Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Step-Down position requiring Epic EMR experience and night shift availability in an intermediate care setting.

Details

• Work on a 12-bed intermediate care step-down unit utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles
• Patient population includes neuro ICU transfers, neuro trauma, subarachnoid/intraventricular/intracerebral hemorrhage, ENT oncology patients post-tumor resection and flap reconstruction, post-operative spine patients, and a wide range of neurological conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Floating required per facility float policy
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Prior neuro step-down or intermediate care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 12-month gap before returning as a traveler
