Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a MD or Compact RN license, with night shifts and every other weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Hospital ICU setting with 10 beds and a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Diverse critical care patient population including DKA, COPD, acute respiratory failure, sepsis, cardiac arrest, hypertensive emergency, ischemic stroke, GI bleed, ETOH withdrawal, acute renal failure, and more
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as they fall per schedule
• Floating required within specialty and to lower acuity units as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Self-scheduling with approximately 8 patient visits per day
• First-time travelers with strong ICU backgrounds will be considered
• Any time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD state or Compact license) currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Strong ICU clinical skills essential
