Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week home health assignment in the Port Angeles and Sequim, WA area.

Responsibilities

Home health care setting serving the Port Angeles and Sequim areas
Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts
Weekend and holiday coverage required
Full-time, 1.0 FTE position
Epic EMR used in this position
Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of patients in a home health setting across the Port Angeles and Sequim service areas
Candidates should be comfortable with autonomous, community-based patient care
13-week temporary assignment

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
Active PT license required if applicable
Current BLS certification required
COVID vaccine required
Home health experience strongly preferred given the care setting

Pros

The staff is amazing. VERY knowledgeable and seasoned echo techs.

Cons

The Cardiologists are horrible and ridiculous! Very petty. And not well trained. They will nit pick every dang measurement then email you until you break. They don’t speak to you directly, they don’t get eye contact, they just email you and the lead tech to reprimand you. It’s toxic. One last Con is the hospital patient rooms are unusually small. So small that you have to sit the patient up in bed and have them lay down the other direction because the machine cannot fit on left side of patient. The bed touches each wall, headboard and footboard.
