Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical-Surgical unit in Kerrville, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Medical-Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU
• Telemetry experience preferred
• 13-week contract
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result will result in immediate cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen upon arrival, including CBD products
• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas's wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Short stay experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
