Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of experience, night shift availability, and multiple critical care certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting in an 18-bed ICU
• Cardiac-heavy patient population with vasoactive drip management and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in PCU; lower ratios in ICU
• Charting system: MEDITECH (experience highly preferred)
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (7p–7a), every other weekend required
• Travelers are first to float to all units within the hospital
• Low census cancellation policy: up to 1 shift per 4-week period
• Unit serves as a designated stroke unit with PCU overlap
• Experience with vasoactive drips and cardiac rhythm interpretation is preferred
• Royal blue scrubs required
• MEDITECH EMR experience is highly preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license in Missouri (MO) or a Compact state required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
• BSN not required
