Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures, with ARDMS registry and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based ultrasonography department
• Performs general and vascular ultrasound procedures; ABIs, segmental pressures, echo, and breast ultrasound are not required
• 4x10-hour day shifts with after-hours call and rotating weekend shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Responsibilities include operating ultrasound imaging equipment, positioning and immobilizing patients, coordinating examinations for timeliness and quality, and submitting images with clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation
• Communicates openly with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership
• Practices sterile technique and adheres to infection prevention policies
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any facility in the Intermountain system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Background check and drug screen required; candidates should plan to complete drug screening within 24 hours of commitment

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience
• Associate's degree required
• Active ARDMS registry required; license required if applicable
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (must not expire prior to start)
• Epic EMR experience required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
