Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Breast Surgery/Oncology Clinic position, primarily based in Edmonds, WA, requiring oncology experience and Epic proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Outpatient clinic setting serving a breast surgery and oncology patient population
- Patients include high-risk cancer patients and individuals genetically predisposed to breast cancer
- Primarily based at the Edmonds clinic, with occasional floating to the First Hill and Issaquah clinics
- Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (5x8-hour day shifts)
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
- Floating between facilities within the state may be required
- Responsibilities include telephone triage, new patient intake calls, surgical teaching, drain care, and coordination of care
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- First week of orientation/training takes place at the First Hill clinic
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent employees of a non-Swedish Providence facility must have been separated for at least 3 months to be eligible
- All requested time off must be communicated at the time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may be denied
- Minimal RTO is expected for this position
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Oncology Certified Nurse (ONC) certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Outpatient or ambulatory clinic experience required
- Oncology experience (inpatient or outpatient) required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
