Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring 2 years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room of a 109-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• On-call required 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month; weekend work is tied to on-call schedule
• Floating between units and facilities within the state is expected based on staffing needs
• Block schedules are not required
• Scrubs are provided for OR staff
• Charting is performed in Epic
• No parking fee

Requirements

• Active RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Facilities within the float pool include Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the submitting facility
• Minimal RTO is expected for this assignment; limited time-off requests may be accommodated
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be disclosed at time of submission — post-offer requests may be denied
