Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for an acute care hospital position in California requiring a CA RN license, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting in an OR (Operating Room) unit
• Day shift with 8-hour varied shifts
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Travelers are first to float
• Cerner EMR used in this position
• Candidates must pass the Relias Dysrhythmia exam (basic or advanced) before an offer can be confirmed
• A pass/fail sterile technique test covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes is administered on the first day of orientation
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; license must be active at time of consideration — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required; pending certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
