Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist for an acute care hospital MRI unit, requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and at least 1 year of MRI experience.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital MRI unit
• Uses Siemens Altea MRI equipment and Cerner EMR, with a transition to Epic planned
• 8-hour day shifts, primarily 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with one shift per pay period from 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• Alternating weekly schedule: Monday–Friday one week, Monday–Thursday the following week
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call or standby requirement
• No floating to other departments required
• Orientation is completed on the first day of assignment
• The facility is a drug-free campus; a negative drug screen is required
• No radius rule applies; however, candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• No COVID vaccination requirement

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience preferred
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• BLS certification required
• IV insertion skills preferred but not required
• License required if applicable — must be active and non-pending at time of consideration
• Active certifications required; pending certifications are not accepted
• 2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
