Description
American Traveler is seeking an IR Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and Level I Trauma background for a 13-week acute care assignment in interventional radiology.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within an Interventional Radiology department
- Facility is a Level I Trauma Center
- Lab includes 2 general IR suites, 1 spine IR room, and 2 neuro endo suites
- Common procedures include GI/GJ tubes, ports, angiograms, lumbar punctures, myelograms, nephrostomy tubes, stents, IVC filters, and blood patches
- Neuro endovascular experience (embolizations, stents, stroke treatment) is a plus but not required; candidates with primarily neuro backgrounds may also be considered
- Sedation cases are staffed with 2 RNs; the RT scrubs alongside the MD
- Estimated caseload of 5–10 cases per day
- Day shifts, 8–10 hours (approximately 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM), Monday–Friday
- Some Saturday shifts are possible
- No call requirement
- Floating is limited to within the Radiology department only
- Charting via Cerner; PACS (DR) also used
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of IR Technologist experience
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- Active Arizona MRTBE-CRT license required; license required if applicable
- VI certificate is a plus but not required
- BLS certification required
- Scrub experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR and PACS preferred
- Familiarity with Philips Allura and Medrad injector preferred
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- A copy of a valid driver's license is required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Perform IR procedures including vascular and non-vascular interventions, neuro endovascular cases, and image-guided procedures
- 12-hour floor-specific orientation provided
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
- Manager interviews are conducted for this position
