Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Radiology Technologist (X-Ray/CT) with 2+ years of experience for an acute care hospital setting, requiring ARRT certification and CT experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with X-Ray and CT unit
• Performs general imaging exams including X-rays and CT scans across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients
• Average workload of approximately 100 exams per day
• 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No IV starts or on-call duties required
• Float between inpatient, outpatient, and ED as needed
• Charting via Cerner; familiarity with Merge-PACS and RIS systems is beneficial
• Experience with GE, Philips, Carestream, and Siemens radiology equipment preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiologic technology
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Illinois state license required if applicable
• CT experience required; general imaging skills essential
• Familiarity with Cerner/HIS, Merge-PACS, and RIS systems

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of general and CT imaging exams in accordance with established protocols
• Document imaging results accurately in the EMR and utilize PACS for image storage and retrieval
• In-house radiologist available to support imaging processes
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to discuss imaging findings
• Department-specific orientation will be provided
• Ciel blue tops and black bottoms required; scrubs are provided
